Managing risk is a key part of delivering a successful project; managing it well can lead to new opportunities that propel your department, while mishandling risk can jeopardise your project’s security, reputation and overall success. A range of relevant techniques and approaches can ensure risks are categorised and managed well, supported by a strong system of recording and monitoring risks during a project’s lifecycle. 

Through a blend of animation, guided learning and reflective activity, you’ll gain practical techniques for identifying, recording and managing risks throughout a project’s lifecycle. By the end, you’ll have greater confidence in applying these principles to your own work and supporting your team to deliver successful outcomes. 

This is a part of a suite of five courses, designed to provide non-specialists with an introduction to the fundamentals of successful project management. The courses include Project Planning, Managing Project Risk, Outcomes and Benefits, Project Scope and Change Control, and Stakeholder Engagement.
