Risk Management

In the public sector, the choices we take change the levels of riskiness in our activities. When you take risks in pursuit of goals, make them good risks. The Government Risk Profession was formally established in 2022 to drive professionalism in risk management. Initial focus has been on developing an accreditation mechanism for risk specialists and work is underway to develop risk management training for everyone. Over time, the curriculum will build to help ensure that high quality, effective risk management is made central to government planning, policy making, service delivery, monitoring and reporting activities.
