The DevOps Fundamentals course provides a solid grounding in the principles, behaviours and tools that can be used to create and provide agile, lean IT services and applications. It covers the 'Full Stack' of culture, practices and automation that between them enable to DevOps way of delivering value to the organisation through IT.

The full stack covers why DevOps is necessary, what it means to work in a DevOps organisation, the use of various IT practices (e.g. release management, IT asset management and configuration management) and how creating a DevOps tools pipeline can facilitate continuous integration, deployment and delivery.

This course is also designed to support the learning objectives of the PeopleCert DevOps Fundamentals exam and its requirements.

Successful completion of this course requires access an external online assessment. The online assessment platform may not be accessible on Civil Service department IT due to security restrictions.
