Cucumber and Ruby

Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

Behaviour-driven development (BDD) is an Agile methodology aimed at improving the communication and collaboration among software developers, quality assurance / testers, business analysts, and other parties involved in a project. Cucumber is an open-source "story-based" framework written in Ruby. It enables BDD by allowing for the creation of tests that are understandable by technical as well as non-technical people such as business stakeholders.

This instructor-led, live training walks participants through real-life cases for BDD and demonstrates hands-on how to implement Cucumber in various test scenarios.

The course includes a discussion of BDD and how Cucumber can be used to carry out BDD testing in various contexts such as web application testing. Participants will be walked through the writing of their own user stories, test cases and executable test code
