The ITIL® Transformation (Version 5) course provides learners with the guidance needed to plan, govern, and execute organisational transformation using ITIL principles. Participants learn how to apply the ITIL Transformation Model, select appropriate transformation patterns, and measure, learn from, and adapt transformation efforts in complex and uncertain environments.
This course is designed for professionals responsible for driving IT service change and improvement, and will be of interest to IT leaders, transformation leads and service managers, typically suited to those with prior ITIL experience who want to strengthen their ability to plan and deliver organisation wide service transformation.

ITIL Transformation (Version 5) Training Prerequisites
Participants must hold ITIL 4 Foundation or ITIL (Version 5) Foundation certification.

Module 3: Initiation Patterns
• Common drivers of transformation
• Initiation pattern types and characteristics
• Scope, sponsorship, and timing considerations
Module 4: Governance Patterns
• Business as usual vs. transformation governance
• Selecting and adapting governance approaches
• Balancing control, autonomy, and learning
Module 5: Execution Patterns
• Implement, discover, and contain patterns
• Matching execution patterns to context
• Applying patterns to transformation scenarios
Module 6: Measurement, Learning, and Synthesis
• Measuring progress and outcomes
• Tools and techniques (VSM, OKRs, maturity models)
• Capturing lessons and adapting transformation
Module 7: ITIL, AI, and Other Frameworks
• AI enabled transformation and governance
• ITIL with DevOps and PRINCE2
• Integrating transformation across frameworks.
Practical session looking at the fundamentals of credible presentations. 30% theory, 70% practice with video review and personalised feedback from expert facilitator. Course looks at individual delivery style and improving message structure.
