Policy Action Learning Sets use day-to-day policy challenges as a basis for reflecting and coming up with better ways of working. By closing the gap between formal training and the reality faced at the desk, Sets help participants make sustained changes in the way they work.

Each Action Learning Set has six participants who meet regularly with a facilitator. Participants learn ways of working together which help everyone make real progress on their immediate policy challenges whilst also strengthening the skills to become better colleagues and leaders and handle future challenges more effectively. Participants come away from every Set meeting with fresh ideas, renewed confidence and a plan of action for tackling their most pressing policy issue.
