Off the shelf (OTS)
Alongside the economic principles, we will consider applied issues around utilities, transport and other sectors such as pharmaceuticals. We will look at public vs private ownership, securing infrastructure investment, splitting industries and consumer protection. We will cover regulation in principle and practice and consider what information economics can add to effective regulation. The course will deliver a mix of theory linked to UK case studies and current research.
