This comprehensive programme is designed for leaders seeking to strengthen their management skills and advance their impact in organisational leadership. Aligned with the CMI Level 6 Diploma in Professional Management & Leadership Practice, the course consists of 6 units and spans approximately 12-18 months, providing a flexible structure to meet client needs.
Participants will emerge with a well-rounded leadership toolkit, enhanced coaching abilities, strategic thinking for high-performance teams, and skills to navigate change and foster resilience.
Each tutorial will connect to the learning outcomes of one or more of the CMI units in the self managed learning section of the programme. They will be designed to provide opportunities for leaders to explore how they might apply tools, models, checklists, techniques etc. to the workplace. They will also provide opportunities for problem solving enable leaders to practice skills.
There is no formal exam, the examination is through continual assessment throughout the programme.
Cohorts are able to select from the following units - reaching a maximum of 37 credits:
601 Professional Management and Leadership Practice - 6 credits
1. Understand the influence of organisational context on management and leadership practice.
2. Understand the practice of professional management and leadership.
602 Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams - 6 credits
1. Understand the principles for developing, managing and leading individuals and teams.
2. Know how to develop, manage and lead individuals and teams to achieve results.
604 Strategic Programme and Project Management - 7 credits
1. Understand programmes and project management in an organisational context.
2. Understand factors and approaches for delivering a strategy for a programme or project management.
3. Know how to lead programmes and projects to achieve results.
605 Innovation and Change - 7 credits
1. Understand innovation and change within an organisational context.
2. Know how to drive innovation and change.
606 Developing and Leading Strategy - 6 credits
1. Understand approaches to developing organisational strategy.
2. Know how to develop and lead operational strategy to achieve a strategic aim.
609 Leading Quality Management - 7 credits
1. Understand the factors which influence organisational approaches to quality management.
2. Know how to lead quality management to achieve strategic objectives.
613 Leading Equality, Diversity and Inclusion - 7 credits
1. Understand the context for leading equality, diversity and inclusion.
