Professionals may find themselves giving evidence on behalf of their organisation. Often, witnesses feel that they are on trial. Doubt may be cast on the witness’s experience, notes, method of investigation and the procedures followed.

This course is designed to demystify the process of giving evidence. It will explain the roles of different people in the hearing, the order of events, the roles of different people in the hearing, and the procedures for giving evidence. The techniques lawyers use to cross-examine will be explored in practical role-play, with feedback from the trainer.

This course can count towards the 8-day nationally recognised qualification - the Advanced Professional Certificate In Investigative Practice.
