This course is open to UK, EU and international individuals working in the field of fraud prevention and investigation, or looking to develop a career in the area. No prior entry requirements.
The Procurement Act 2023 has brought major changes to the regulations that govern UK procurement.  All regulations surrounding the governance of procurement in the UK will change.
Each year the public sector spends around £300 billion on public procurement. This includes spend on: goods: such as office equipment or hospital beds works: the building and maintenance of roads, schools, and major infrastructure projects services: adult social care, waste management, and technology services.
The main objective of the masterclass is for learners to understand these changes to help them mitigate against fraud, identify red flags and how the Act can affect your organisation
• We will provide a basic overview of procurement fraud to coincide with the new Procurement Act and an overview of the new procurement act itself.
• We will discuss red flags and warning signs to watch out for, to support learner’s understanding of the size and scale of the problem, and the impact and consequences of the threat.
• We will explain the relevant legislation in an easy-to-understand format and cover fraud risk management for procurement.
There are no assessments, this is a 3 hour masterclass and has no assessments or tests.
