Organisation Design programme equips your team with the knowledge and skills to create a high-performing, adaptable organisation. This programme is designed for professionals involved in organisation design, management and HR, as well as leaders seeking to improve their organisation’s structure and effectiveness. It is suitable for both those new to organisation design and experienced professionals looking to deepen their strategic understanding and refine their skills in optimising organisational performance.
Following the time-tested 4 S Model - ‘State it, Shape it, See it, Sustain it’ - this comprehensive programme covers the entire organisational design process from defining the future vision, to piloting and transitioning to the new organisation.
Taking this course will empower participants to:
• Recognise the underpinning theoretical frameworks for OD such as Systems Theory and Value Chain.
• Understand and implement a methodical end-to-end approach to organisation design.
• Apply their knowledge and skills on immersive practical activities and case studies.
• Connect with peers for knowledge exchange, fostering a network of support and shared learning.
There are 4 modules within this programme. Each element is designed to build key skills, knowledge and behaviours relating to successful organisation design:
1. Module 1 – Launch Event
• Overview of the key elements and provides the context around successful organisation design and the time-tested approach that will be used in the programme. The workshop will end with giving the next steps to the learners and an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
2. Module 2 - State it and Shape it (workshop)
• Explores the first two phases of the 4 S model – State it and Shape it. Participants explore their individual business context, the future vision, critical success factors, design principles KPIs and macro design best practice.
3. Module 3 – See it and Sustain it (workshop)
• Explores the See it and Sustain it phases of the 4 S model. They will explore micro design, workforce transition how to run successful pilot rollouts and how to ensure the transition is sustained.
4. Module 4 – Action Learning Set
• Reflect on their learning, share experiences, identify areas for continuous development and set plans to support their collective ongoing success.
The Organisation design programme consists of a launch call, 2 face-to-face classroom courses, an action learning set, and a comprehensive organisation design playbook that acts as a companion document and valuable resource during the programme and beyond.
