Practitioner Coach Development Programme – Professional Accreditation
Aligned to EMCC Global | Association for Coaching
This advanced programme builds on the Internal Coach Development Programme and is the second half of the Certificate in Executive Coaching. Recognised by both EMCC Global and the Association for Coaching (AC), it equips experienced or previously trained coaches to deepen their professional practice and pursue recognised accreditation at Practitioner level with EMCC and AC.

Delivery Options
Choose the format that suits your schedule and learning style:
Digital Only
A self-paced, online programme with recorded lessons, structured module release, and personalised faculty feedback. Designed for experienced learners, this format allows you to work through the materials on a pre-set schedule while applying your learning in real time.
Blended Virtual
A cohort-based programme delivered via live online workshops, peer dialogue, and digital assignments. Includes six fortnightly 3-hour sessions via MS Teams, combined with structured practice and reflection.
Programme Purpose
This programme develops advanced coaching capability and includes all the criteria for EMCC Practitioner accreditation. It is designed for:
• Graduates of the Internal Coach Development Programme
• Experienced coaches (e.g. Level 7) seeking to hone their skills and gain formal recognition
• Practitioners aiming to consolidate prior training through a structured, accredited pathway
• Candidates bridging toward Senior Practitioner level accreditation

• 15 hours of client coaching practice
• One recorded coaching session submitted for detailed feedback
• Reflective journal maintained throughout
• Pre-work and reading to deepen learning
• Online quizzes and digital discussions
• Final professional dialogue to integrate the learning experience

2. Constructive Challenge – Using Heron’s six interventions to offer challenge skilfully
3. Use of Self as Instrument – Developing relational presence and reflective capacity
4. Interpersonal Dynamics – Applying Transactional Analysis and systemic insight
5. Contracting Revisited – Revisiting goals, boundaries, and managing endings
6. Practising Professionally – Ethics, supervision, CPD, and long-term sustainability
Programme Awards and Accreditation
This programme is recognised by both EMCC Global and the Association for Coaching, offering two professional pathways for accreditation:
EMCC Global
Accredited at Practitioner level (EQA), this programme embeds all individual accreditation requirements into its design. Successful graduates are awarded EMCC Practitioner Individual Accreditation (EIA) upon completion—no separate application is required, subject to EMCC membership. Those with significant experience may be eligible to bridge directly to Senior Practitioner level through experience and competence mapping.
Successful completion of this course requires access an external online assessment. The online assessment platform may not be accessible from Civil Service department IT due to security restrictions.
