Coaching Supervision (Part 3) - Professional Identity
The final stage in your supervisor accreditation programme.

Focus Areas
This 7-part programme marks the conclusion of your journey towards accreditation. The course looks at creative approaches to supervision, ethics, maintaining a professional practice and developing your own, unique style and approach.

Who should attend this programme?
This course is for Senior Practitioner coaches who have already attended Parts 1 (Fundamentals) and 2 (Modalities) and wish to complete the full Diploma in Coaching Supervision in order to obtain individual accreditation as a supervisor with EMCC.

Format
A three-month programme focused on developing advanced supervision skills. 7 x taught input sessions delivered online via MS Teams. Analysis of a recorded supervision session, and a self-assessment exercise mark the conclusion of this course.

Summary
You are encouraged to experiment and expand your range as a supervisor. We introduce creative approaches to supervision and invite you to develop ways of working that are authentic and unique.

Key components include:
• 7 x live, 3-hour, live, online experiential taught input modules.
• Interactive reflective journal and online quizzes.
• Online community discussion forum, and professional learning environment.
• Continuation of supervision with individuals and groups.
• Faculty feedback on a recording and feedback from supervisees.
• Self-assessment against course learning outcomes and competences.


Seven Sessions

Session 1. Your Supervision Model – Part 1
Developing an individualised model of supervision and applying it authentically.

Session 2. Creative Approaches to Supervision 1
An enquiry into freedom, stuckness, spontaneity and not-knowing.

Session 3. Creative Approaches to Supervision 2
Practicing and experimenting with working in a creative way.

Session 4. Ethical Dilemmas in Supervision
Exploring ethical dilemmas and developing ethical maturity as practitioners.

Session 5. Maintaining a Professional Practice
Best practice for CPD, supervision, reflective practice, ethics, record keeping and more.

Session 6. Your Supervision Model – Part 2
Sharing your personal supervision models with other cohort members and learning from each other.

Session 7. Graduation
Sharing overall learning and personal outcomes from 12-month journey.

Assessment
Our approach to assessment is inclusive and supportive, and not based on a pass or fail model. We build our picture of you over the duration of the programme and encourage you to develop at your own pace. All your contributions count, not as a test, but as part of the overall process of developing competence.

Final assessment also requires
• Submitting a recording in which you demonstrate your supervision skills in action. We provide feedback on this.
• Self-Assessment against programme learning outcomes and core competencies.
• Final 1:1 tutorial with course faculty

What part does this course play in the Diploma in Coaching Supervision?
This course is Part 3, the final stage of the Diploma in Coaching Supervision. Successful completion of this stage also results in accreditation with EMCC.
