Programme Purpose
This three-month course introduces the core principles of coaching supervision, helping you develop the confidence and capability to apply essential supervisory skills in practice.

Who Is This Programme For?
This programme is designed for practising coaches accredited at EMCC Practitioner level or above. It is ideally suited to those at the start of their journey toward becoming a coach supervisor.

Format
Delivered via Microsoft Teams, the programme includes seven live, online workshops (3 hours each), practical activities, peer engagement, and individualised feedback on a recorded supervision session. It offers a rich blend of input, reflection, and practice over three months.

• Buddy system for practice and mutual support
• 12 hours of applied supervision practice with volunteer supervisees

Session Overview
1. Programme Introduction – Definitions, EMCC competence framework, overview
2. The 7-Eyed Model – Demonstration, parallel process, peer supervision
3. Contracting – Working alliance, written agreements, and re-contracting
4. The Normative Function – Ethics, boundaries, and reflective scrutiny
5. The Formative Function – Developing coaching competence and insight
6. The Restorative Function – Resourcing supervisees and managing emotional load
7. Integration – Personal learning review and supervision development plan

Recorded Session & Assessment
You will submit a recorded supervision session for structured feedback from a faculty assessor and peer. Final assessment also includes participation, journal submissions, quiz completion, and a reflective self-assessment.

Pathway to Accreditation
This course is Part 1 of the Diploma in Coaching Supervision (DipS) and serves as a key step toward EMCC’s ESIA (European Supervision Individual Accreditation). Parts 2 and 3 may be completed separately, as each module is a standalone course.

Eligibility
Participants should hold EMCC Practitioner-level accreditation (or equivalent) to attend this programme.
Bridging options are available.
