Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

This course explores the primary influences on safety, risk and potential corporate liability. The course adopts a ‘systems thinking’ approach as a method to manage complex systems. The current global pandemic has accelerated change in many areas of corporate strategy and this course aims to dilute some of the main themes within contemporary management thinking. We consider how to effectively mitigate some of the emergent threats which from the onset of digitalisation within our society.

The course has a number of high-profile case studies from various industries which are analysed and discussed collectively and presented from various perspectives by the candidates. Cultural assessment techniques will be explored and applied to real world data. Candidates will experience mock cross examination by the presenters, to give then some appreciation of what the various legal systems look for when assessing corporate liability when risk mitigation has failed.

The course provides the candidates with the confidence to directly engage with risk-based decisions within a complex operating environment.
