The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) is a nationally accredited teaching qualification. It is designed for those already in a teaching position, looking to improve their teaching skills.

Assessment
The course is certified through the awarding body Highfield. There are both theoretical and practical assessments:

Theory – there is a written assessment for each of the six units ( suggested word count 3- 4000 words per assingment). However there is no official word count. We suggest you inlcude 4 references per assignment.

Practical – learners complete a practical portfolio of their current teaching practice, including logging 30 hours of practice and three lesson observations.

The teaching sessions must be to groups or classes of learners and can be observed by a teacher with a minimum level 4 teaching qualification. You would need to provide a copy of their certificate to the training provider when you register for the course.

The average learner takes between 5-6 months to completed this course.

You will receive a nationally accredited (RFQ), Ofqual regulated certificate awarded 10 days after all completed work is marked.
