  • bullet point
Know what the normal distribution is, and how to apply it to real-world situations such as quality control problems and sampling decisions
  • bullet point
Understand the assumptions behind basic sampling theory, and suggest what to do when they are not met
  • bullet point

  • bullet point
Know how to undertake regression analysis using appropriate software and how to avoid common pitfalls in its application

Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

This 1-day course will build or refresh the statistical skills, with a particular focus on sampling and regression analysis. After the relevant modelling approaches have been introduced, you will work on real-world case studies where the theoretical concepts can be applied and their interpretation discussed in group work.
