Unlocking the full potential of data and AI requires a culture of safe and responsible innovation, guided by a strong ethical framework that minimises harm and promotes positive impact. This requires implementing a robust framework and empowering employees across all levels to understand and apply its principles in their daily work.
This 90-minute workshop explores the key ethical considerations for designing, implementing, and using AI applications ethically. It can be taken as a standalone course or as an introduction to the Data and AI ethics program. With no prerequisites and a practical focus on ethical decision-making, this engaging and accessible workshop is relevant to a wide range of audiences.
The first section explores ethics through a familiar everyday decision, grounding complex concepts in a clear and relatable way.
The second section explores key principles of AI and data ethics through practical activities, emphasising the importance of escalating ethical concerns.
The final section provides participants with an opportunity to apply the concepts they’ve learnt to a practical scenario exploring the ethical use of generative AI.
