Senior Leaders in the Government Analytical Service: Creating Analytical Impact

This course is for Grade 7 equivalents and above, who manage mixed analytical units/team, or who aspire to do so. The aim of this course is to equip participants with many of the key skills needed to perform effectively at senior level in the government analytical service, the wider SCS and in roles outside of government. It is a highly engaging and intensive programme, comprising of 3x2 day modules (delegates are welcome to attend individual modules), each focusing on a different aspect of the analytical leadership required to attain high performance at this level in Government. Each learner will receive personalised feedback on their impact and approach and coaching.

This programme comprises 3 modules and can be completed in 2 days. The module establishes expectations for the programme and provides a space for participants to explore their own authentic leadership approach within the analytical environment. By increasing self-awareness, the module explores the themes of confidence, authenticity and assertiveness as a leader, in terms of how we view ourselves and the impact we can have as we try to engage others. Learners will be given the space and guidance to think about what they do to encourage engaged followership within their profession, the wider government and analytical environment and how to create a positive impact on others with presence and confidence.
