Overview
Off the shelf (OTS)
Learn to manage conflict positively by flexing your approach based on the situation you’re in and the people you’re facing. Afraid of conflict? Not sure how to react when conflict occurs? It doesn’t have to be so intimidating. Everyone has a different approach when it comes to handling conflict. This workout will help you uncover and manage your dominant approach and the approaches of others so that you can react constructively whenever conflict occurs. Why bother?
• For the organization: Conflict is bound to arise in teams and hinder progress. Being able to detect and appropriately approach the conflict in a healthy manner will allow the team to continue towards their goals.
• For the participants: Understanding our default approach to conflict, and the other approaches that are available, means that we will be better able to adapt our approach so that conflict is something positive for ourselves and those around us.
When we know strategies to help us keep our cool in the heat of the moment, we’re more likely to keep our conflicts healthy and productive.
