Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

This interactive session is designed to support leaders in fostering psychological safety within their teams by examining their own influence on team culture and dynamics. Through input, guided discussion and practical activities, leaders will explore what psychological safety is, and what it is not, how unconscious bias can shape their decision-making, influence relationships, and impact team inclusion.
The session will create space for honest reflection on the role of authority, encouraging leaders to consider how their behaviours and choices set the tone for openness, trust, and respectful challenge. Participants will also examine their responsibility in establishing and reinforcing positive team norms—such as active listening, inclusive collaboration, and constructive feedback—that enable all voices to be heard.
By the end of the session, leaders will be equipped with clearer insights and practical strategies to lead more inclusively and create psychologically safe environments where their teams can thrive.
