Overview
Off the shelf (OTS)
This is a completely unique game-based learning experience for participants to accelerate inclusive leadership, agile teamwork and psychological safety. Run on a customized virtual whiteboard and a Teams or Zoom call, participants collaborate in teams of 6 to 8 to build and manage a tile-making business. Across an induction round and two time-pressured game cycles, participants must allocate roles within their teams, build and deliver their products – and keep the customer satisfied.
The immersive chaos of the experience means participants display their natural behaviours under pressure. Regular reflection and feedback led by a team coach are aided by simple, relevant frameworks to help participants make sense of and improve the way they are working together. Performance in the game is measured by each team’s profit, waste and customer satisfaction scores, but the real learning comes from improving the quality of reflection and feedback participants provide.
Clear takeaway actions help participants take the insights back into their day-to-day roles, and the learning impact lasts because participants have actually experienced the ways of working needed to drive performance and engagement.
