Overview
đź•® Cross Civil Service
Of all the decisions we make on a daily basis, particularly in our personal lives, many are made unconsciously, out of habit. When making decisions that only affect ourselves, there’s little wrong with this. However, it’s not an appropriate way to make decisions at work; decisions that can affect people, services or outcomes. It’s vitally important that those decisions are ethical, evidence-based and inclusive. This requires relevant and reliable data, different perspectives and a strong sense of what’s fair and what isn’t.
This self-paced online course illustrates the benefits of a structured decision-making approach, as opposed to something more instinctive and informal. It introduces a seven-step process that can be used to make ethical, evidence‑based and inclusive decisions, underpinned by both the Civil Service Code and its values.
