Target Audience:
This module is designed for Senior Civil Servants (SCS level) who are responsible for leading strategic change across departments and functions. It is particularly relevant for those seeking to role model adaptive leadership, build organisational readiness, and embed values-led decision-making in complex environments.
Prerequisites / Experience Level:
Participants should be experienced leaders with responsibility for strategic decision-making, organisational culture, and cross-functional collaboration. No prior psychological flexibility training is required.
Course Description:
This advanced leadership module explores how psychological flexibility can be embedded at a strategic level to support whole-organisation change. Drawing on evidence-based principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), participants will engage in facilitated social learning to explore real-time challenges and opportunities. The course focuses on role modelling adaptive behaviours, building platforms for change readiness, and leading with values to strengthen trust and engagement. Through interactive scenarios, peer dialogue, and reflective practice, senior leaders will develop the skills to lead with confidence in uncertainty and complexity.
