Target audience:
This module is designed for team leaders and managers across the Civil Service who are navigating change and seeking to build inclusive, values-led, and innovative team cultures. It is suitable for those with experience leading teams through uncertainty and complexity, and those looking to deepen their leadership practice.
Prerequisites:
No formal prerequisites, though participants should have experience in team leadership or people management.
Course content:
This interactive module supports team leaders in embedding psychological flexibility within their teams to support innovation, inclusion, and resilience. Drawing on the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework and Bailey & French’s evidence-based approach, participants explore how to create psychologically safe environments that enable open dialogue, experimentation, and values-led decision-making. Through real-time scenarios, breakout discussions, and practical exercises, leaders will develop skills to lead adaptively and inclusively in complex and changing contexts.
