Effective policy increasingly depends on understanding places, people and local evidence. This masterclass explores how place-based approaches can support better policy design and delivery, helping officials respond to regional differences, local priorities and varying economic and social conditions. It is targted towards policy officials at all levels.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will consider how evidence, data and local insight can inform decision-making.
2. Examine how national priorities can be translated into meaningful outcomes at a regional and local level.
3. Practise using a worked example of taking a national policy to local level.
