Off the shelf (OTS)

This online course gives public servants a grounding in the key principles and methods for effective public engagement. Public engagement can help improve government responsiveness, strengthen trust in public institutions and give a voice to those who historically are left out of public decision making.

It involves 5 hours of bite-sized learning that can be learned with a group across 4 weeks on an engaging online platform. You will find content includes practical tasks relevant to a government context and experience from other public servants, to help you put your skills into practice. It also includes 2 facilitated “virtual” workshops including one with an expert speaker. You will also get a chance for optional virtual forum to discuss the course content with other public servant learners.
