Overview

Cross Civil Service

Government departments are responsible for spending a significant amount of public money. It’s important that this delivers public value – meaning that the money is spent well and achieves the outcomes for which it was intended. However, the responsibility for delivering this value isn’t something that sits solely with the Civil Service’s finance professionals. It’s something that every civil servant needs to play their part in.

This course provides an introduction to how to make best use of public money while delivering better outcomes for citizens. It’s aimed at anyone wanting to improve their understanding of the tools and approaches that can help make sure that money is well spent.
