Overview
Off the Shelf (OTS)
There is a growing expectation that business leaders and government spokespeople alike should be able to deliver highly polished, professional media interviews and pieces to camera. To help meet this expectation, this highly practical course prepares senior civil servants for delivering press briefings and interviews on TV, radio and ‘down the line’ (i.e. from a remote location).
Attending the course at the purpose-built immersive broadcasting studios provides opportunities for senior civil servants to experience several different real-world interview scenarios, including hostile questioning, while building confidence in experimenting with different approaches and styles. As well as considering interview practicalities – everything from lighting and sound quality through to sartorial and body language considerations – this course explores the craft behind becoming an effective and composed media spokesperson.
