Overview
Off the shelf (OTS)
The Getting Things Done (GTD) Level 3 ‘Focus and Direction’ seminar builds on the control people have gained from the Level 1 ‘Fundamentals’ course, and the perspective the have gained from the Level 2 ‘Projects and Priorities’ and pulls it all together in a coherent picture.
Target audience/level of experience/pre-requisites:
This Level 3 'Focus & Direction' seminar is only appropriate for those who have previously attended a Level 1 ‘Fundamentals’ and Level 2 ‘Projects and Priorities’ seminar or completed a 1-2-1 GTD Workflow Education, with a deep understanding and practise of GTD.
Having built and used a GTD system for six months to a year is essential.
Suitable for all grades, from high-level leaders to new starters.
No pre-learning required for the course, other than the above pre-requisite of past courses.
Course format – how this one is different is to other Level 3 courses offered:
This in-person seminar is run over two consecutive 8-hour days. Participants are not off-work for those two days but will be actively engaged in doing their work, making decisions and unsticking projects that have been blocked for some time.
This seminar is very engaging, practical and the best way to get a group fully up-and-running with GTD.
Short paragraph describing content of course:
This is the final level of mastery of the GTD® methodology. Learners gain a greater understanding of the power of focused attention, how control and perspective come together for greater clarity, creativity, and productivity. How does your strategic plan relate to the actions on your lists? How do the meetings in your calendar point to the larger and bigger things to affirm what you’re about? This seminar helps participants to distinguish the different Horizons of Focus® and how to utilise those frameworks to create, align with, and execute on any desired outcome across both work and life. This level pulls together the idea of the ‘ultimate map room’ - i.e. the awareness and capacity to create, update, refine, and utilise the orientation tools - seeing the best things to see, at any time, from the best perspective.
