Overview

Off the shelf (OTS)

The Getting Things Done (GTD) Level 2 ‘Projects and Priorities’ seminar builds on the control people have gained from the Level 1 ‘Fundamentals’ course, and adds a higher perspective looking across the roles they play in their work and life and an ability to plan projects quickly and effectively.

Target audience/level of experience/pre-requisites:
This Getting Things Done (GTD) Level 2 ‘Projects and Priorities’ seminar is only appropriate for those who have previously attended a Level 1 ‘Fundamentals’ seminar or completed a 1-2-1 GTD Workflow Education.
Ideally they have practised using what they learned in the Level 1 Fundamentals or Workflow Education for at least three months.
Suitable for all grades, from high-level leaders to new starters.
No pre-learning required for the course, other than the above pre-requisite of past courses.

Course format – how this one is different is to other Level 2 courses offered:
This in-person seminar is run over two consecutive 8-hour days. Participants are not off-work for those two days but will be actively engaged in doing their work, making decisions and unsticking projects that have been blocked for some time.
This seminar is very engaging, practical and the best way to get a group fully up-and-running with GTD.]

Short paragraph describing content of course:
Once the concepts from Level 1 ‘Fundamentals’ have produced greater control of the here and now, participants are able to consider the bigger picture to help them achieve balance across all the areas of their work and life. This perspective allows them to see what’s important and spend more time being strategic with their effort. The course introduces new ideas and tools that help reduce the friction further, to get more of the right things done, in less time, with less stress.

Summarised list of course objectives/ high level topics covered / brief outline:
• Review of their GTD journey so far to identify areas to improve to get even more support across their work and life
• Experience the power of a complete overview of everything they are currently trying to achieve
• Learn the Natural Planning Model, an advanced GTD element, to quickly and easily optimise project planning
• Use a wider perspective to help ensure balance, so that they can easily shift from a reactive to proactive stance in the areas that matter most to them
• Add refinements and additions to digital tools to make them even more effective

There is no exam or assessment as part of this course.
