With external pressures from climate change and the need for government departments to become more sustainable, there is no doubt that the importance of Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) considerations will continue to grow. ESG training is therefore essential for organisations seeking to adopt sustainable business practices, attract responsible investors, and respond to increasing demands for transparency and accountability.

This ESG programme takes about 2 hours in total to complete and consists of 5, bite size, e-learning modules. It has been designed to provide an introduction, a closer look into each aspect of ESG, and clear explanations around how ESG can - and should - be integrated into organisational strategy. It is suitable for UK civil service employees or anyone with an interest in ESG, and how it relates to their organisation or department. Completing this programme will give learners an excellent foundation in understanding corporate ESG considerations. Questions, real life examples, and interactive activates support learning throughout.

Overall, the programme aims to increase awareness and understanding of ESG and its significance in decision-making, risk assessment, and responsible investment. On completion, participants will be empowered with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions that consider not only financial returns but also their impact on the environment, society, and governance practices.

The 5 bite-size modules within this ESG series each take around 20 minutes to compete. Through them, learners will develop a better understanding of the three key aspects of ESG and why they are important. The modules also provide an insight into how ESG is applied to business strategy.
