Overview
Off the shelf (OTS)
Core Consulting Skills for Government is a 7 module programme, covering ten key core consulting skills. This totals circa 28.5 hours of facilitated training supported by tools and techniques used by consultants and advisors working in professional services.
These skills are not only seen as being fundamental to good consultancy, but have wide application in the Civil Service at large. These include: critical and creative thinking; defining and solving problems using data analysis and relevant tools; rapport building and impactful communication techniques; managing stakeholders and risk; presenting solutions with credibility and confidence.
The programme actively encourages applying these skills through an engagement lifecycle.
It is underpinned by a simulated consulting assignment that enables you to build and test your consulting skills in a training environment providing real world insights, peer review and feedback. The programme provides a toolkit of consulting skills to draw on when and where you need them.
