This comprehensive Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk training is a vital half-day (two sessions done again) course for professionals who work with vulnerable groups across all sectors. Combining both children's and adult safeguarding frameworks, this course provides a holistic understanding of protection responsibilities under key UK legislation including the Children Acts 1989/2004, Care Act 2014, and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023).

Through interactive workshops, real-life case studies, and scenario-based learning, participants will:

Identify key differences and similarities between child and adult safeguarding

Recognise signs of abuse across all age groups (including modern slavery, CSE, and financial abuse)

Apply appropriate reporting pathways for different vulnerable groups

Navigate complex issues including mental capacity, consent, and information sharing

Understand multi-agency working with both Local Safeguarding Children Partnerships (LSCPs) and Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs)
